Manufacturers

Manufacturers are the companies that produce products. They are responsible for the design and production of a product, as well as its eventual sale.

The manufacturing process has changed drastically in recent decades. Manufacturers now have to compete with other companies in their own industry for customers and so they must produce high-quality products at a low cost. In order to be able to do this, manufacturers have had to find ways of cutting down on labour costs by using machines and robots instead of people.

Manufacturers are the companies that produce goods for sale. They may either make the product from raw materials or assemble parts and components.

There are two types of manufacturers:

- Manufacturing company: a company that manufactures products in-house and sells them to other companies. They produce goods for sale from raw materials or assemble parts and components.

- Contract manufacturer: a company that manufactures products on behalf of other companies, without owning the production process.

The manufacturing process is the conversion of raw materials, typically either chemicals or metals, into a new product. The process of manufacturing includes these major steps: (1) design and development of the product; (2) production and assembly of parts; (3) production control; and (4) marketing and sales.
